Managing a small storage unit business can be easily done without a dedicated application, but StoreTracer makes it really easy to manage both small and very large operations.
The setup process, which is very important, takes you through a variety of steps that help you setup the system. The first thing you can do is add information about your company, like what it is called, its location, contact information, etc. Then, you can add different unit types. This is useful if you have different types of units that are priced differently. After the setup is done, you can start adding contracts. For each contract, you have to add a name and at least a contact phone number, and the number of units that the customer wants and which type.
After you have created the first contract, you will see a graph on the main window that will show you which units are taken, when the customers signed up and the available units of every type. You can mouse over a unit to see who is renting it now.
StoreTracer was evidently made by someone who knows the business. There are very interesting things that you can do with this software. For example, you can apply discounts to a specific contract if the contract duration goes over a specific number of months. You can also tell the app when the cycling period starts (when a contract is created or at the beginning of the month).
In conclusion, StoreTracer is a very complete app for the management of storage unit businesses. It is incredibly easy to set up and a piece of cake to use.
